Audit Associate

The Audit Associate is responsible for learning and applying technical skills and working as part of a team carrying out audit tasks under close supervision of senior staff members. During the first three to six months of employment, you will learn and use the basic systems and procedures of the firm. You will participate in formal training courses and on-the-job training led by Audit Seniors and Audit Managers as to gain knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures.

Main responsibilities:

  • actively develops technical skills on the job and through formal training;
  • effectively documents work;
  • assisting with the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and management letter comments;
  • assisting with engagement administration including audit programs, budgets and engagement letters;
  • identifies and communicates engagement issues as well as engagement progress in a timely and organized manner;
  • works as an effective team member to complete project components and assigned tasks;

  • readiness to assume significant responsibilities and exercise judgment with decreasing direct supervision;
  • the ability to manage his/her own time effectively;
  • written and verbal communication skills necessary (in both Romanian and English) to effectively interface with all levels of firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts;
  • commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is required;
