Applications addressed to the courts to be submitted exclusively in PDF format
On 24 June 2025, the Rules of Procedure of the Courts of Justice were amended such that applications addressed to the courts and any accompanying documents submitted by email are now to be sent exclusively in PDF format as a direct attachment to the email.
Key points:
- attachments in other formats or links to file storage and file-sharing platforms will not be accepted, unless expressly requested by the court
- if an email addressed to the court contains attachments in any format other than PDF or includes links to external platforms, it will not be processed by the relevant departments and the attachments will not be listed or filed
- the sender will be notified of any non-conformity regarding the submitted documents and of the need to resend the documents in the accepted format
