Candidates’ profile
- University degree in Economics; chartered Accountant (CECCAR diploma is a must);
- Very good knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and Fiscal Code;
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position;
- Very good background in statutory accounting, payroll and tax issues;
- Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards);
- Fluent business English (both communication and writing);
- Proactive, self-motivated person, open-minded;
- Proven track record of achievements and results;
- Customer-orientated behavior, ability to understand different businesses and propose personalized solutions;
- A communication master, diplomatic, ability to relate with multicultural individuals;
- Excellent organizational and interfacing skills;
- Proven management skills in areas of planning, organizing, time management, supervising, and results in achievements;
- People management skills, ability to inspire and motivate team members;
- Upright individual, with great consideration for professional values.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of senior and junior accountants to ensure accurate and in–time accounting for the assigned clients;
- Supervise the preparation and submission to Romanian authorities of the clients’ statutory financial statements and tax returns;
- Manage the relationship with the clients (correspondence, meetings, presentations);
- Summarize financial indicators and present recommendations to clients in order to increase business profitability;
- Maintaining the relationship with fiscal control authorities, banks, and finance administration;
- Liaise with external auditors of customers;
- Keep up to date with the changes in local accounting and tax legislation;
- Monitor teamwork and re-distribute tasks where necessary;
- Provide assistance and advice to clients on all matters regarding financial issues;
- Coach junior and senior accountants in developing their professional competency;
- Conducting employee evaluation for staff under supervision;
Reporting line: directly to accounting partner.
